Description
Seeking a skilled software developer with 7+ years experience to join our team in HsinChu, Taiwan. The HsinChu software team is part of a global team of developers located in Taiwan, India, Denmark and the US.
Primary focus will be on embedded software solutions for the telecommunications market, as well as turnkey software solutions and software modules/SDK’s for SME switching & routing applications. Focus on building up the Vitesse software offerings that are critical to the silicon market success. Regular interaction with chip design teams and other Vitesse software teams. Must be able to lead smaller software teams with up to 2-3 software developers. Have working knowledge of software tool flow development. Development and architecture of software solutions/modules/protocols with high complexity. Review tier 1 customers RFQs for standards, feature and functional software improvements.
Software testing:
* SQA planning
* SQA lead
* Software unit testing
* Software integration testing
Required Qualifications:
Experience and knowledge within network protocols especially Ethernet TCP/IP and a good understanding as regards to QoS and security.
Software-programming skills in one or more of the following areas: C/C++ (required), C#, Java, TCL, Perl.
Processor and OS knowledge (preferences are ARM9, MIPS, PPC, eCos, Linux, and VxWorks)
Protocol knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Virtual LAN, Spanning Tree, LACP, 802.1X, 1GMP, Telnet, FTP, TFTP, NAT, RIP, OSPF, IPMC, IGMP, MLD, SNMP, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DOS attack, VPN, JpSec, PPTP, L2TP, SSL, HTTP, HTTPS, and management protocols.
Must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Excellent documentation & design specification writing skills.
Must have a serious attitude regarding design quality.
Must be precise and at the same time efficient in the daily work.
Must be willing to work in a changing and sometimes intense working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Carrier/Telecommunication products.
Experience with Telecom Carrier services/protocols like PB, PBB, PBB-TE, MPLS-TP, OAM, Protection switching, IEEE802.3ah, Y.1731, SyncE SSM, IEEE1588, OTN, FEC, LCAS, SDH, Sonet and TR069 management is a big plus.
Experience with L2/L3 Enterprise switch products.
Experience with routing products.
MSEE with 7+ years of experience in the industry required.
